Betty Jane Leppo, 91, of Finksburg passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 17, 2018 at Master’s Haven Assisted Living in Finksburg. Born December 16, 1926 in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late George and Jane Sovina (Jackson) Gill. She was the devoted wife of the late Sterling R. Leppo, to whom she was married for over 50 years.

Betty was an Administrative Secretary for the Maryland State Police, Rosewood State Hospital, Maryland Public Television and the Maryland State Lottery. She also worked for a time with Remax Realty. She was a member of Reisterstown United Methodist Church and the Lady Elks of Westminster.

In her younger years she enjoyed going to dances with her husband Sterling and friends. She enjoyed feeding and watching wild birds and nature from her home in Finksburg. In recent years, she enjoyed fellowship, trivia and other games with her friends.

Surviving are her sons, Sterling L. Leppo and wife Donna of Reisterstown and Bruce Leppo and wife Karen of Manchester; 5 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her beloved husband Sterling, she was predeceased by her brother, James George Gill. A Memorial Service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, June 22, 2018 at MYERS-DURBORAW FUNERAL HOME, 91 Willis Street, Westminster with the Rev.

Vivian McCarthy officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Finksburg. The family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, June 21st at the funeral home.
