BETTY JEAN JETTE, age 89, of Delaware, Ohio, formerly of Washington CH, passed away on Sunday, April 22, 2018 at 4:47 a.m. at Grady Memorial Hospital. She was born on October 2, 1928 in Fayette County to Phillip and Jennie Beedy Palmer. Betty was a 1946 graduate of Washington High School.

She retired from the Carnegie Public Library. Betty was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister. She enjoyed dancing in her younger years, reading, and being with her family.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Malcom D. Jette, whom she married on November 11, 1947; daughter, Candice Jette; grandson, Todd Jette, and siblings, Helen Palmer, George Palmer, Donald Palmer, Phillip Palmer Jr., and Raymond Palmer. Survivors include her children, Stephen Jette, Jennifer (Herbert) Jones, Tom (Kathryn) Jette, Kelley (Jack) Higginbotham, and Shelley (Steve) Gruetter; twelve grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

The funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 26, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Pastor John Pfeifer officiating with burial to follow at the Washington Cemetery.
