LOIS JEAN LIGHTLE, age 87, of Washington CH, passed away on Sunday, May 20, 2018 at 5:43 a.m. at St. Catherine’s Manor of Washington CH. She was born on November 6, 1930 in Athens County to Floyd W. and Bertha A. Frazee Heightland. She graduated from Chauncey-Dover High School in Chauncey, Ohio.

Lois stayed at home to take care of her husband and three children. She enjoyed being a “Mom,” spending time with her family, and had a love for animals. Lois was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Isaac Jefferson Lightle Jr., son, Jack Lightle; grandson, Ryan Woodland; five sisters; and two brothers.

Survivors include her children; Brenda Paul, and Sharon Lightle; grandchildren, Adam Lightle, Jason Paul, Misti Woodard, Marky Bellar, Anthony Patterson, Kandy Craig, Tammy Welch, and Jeffrey Lightle; numerous great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 24, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with burial to follow at the Highlawn Cemetery with Brother Wiley Perkins officiating. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Thursday morning from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
