KATHY ANN HARPER, age 54, of Bloomingburg, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, June 22, 2018 at 3:26 p.m. at her home. She was born on October 6, 1963 in Fayette County to Theodore and Norma Jean Kinnison Massie. Kathy stayed at home to take care of her husband and raise their two sons.

She and her husband attended the House of Prayer Church on Washington Ave. Kathy was a loving and devoted daughter, wife, mother, sister, and friend. She enjoyed the outdoors, caring for her cats, feeding the birds, fishing, and most importantly, being with her family.

Kathy was preceded in death by her father; her son, Jerry Lee Harper Jr., nephew, Derrick Massie, and father-in-law, Jerry Alan Harper. Survivors include her mother; her husband, Jerry Lee Harper Sr., whom she married on March 14, 1981; son, Shane Harper; siblings; Larry (Barb) Massie, Juanita Massie, and Lora Daughtery; sister-in-law, Sharon (Don) Harris; brother-in-law, Lonnie (Michelle) Harper; and mother-in-law, Cindy (Orville) Harper-Strittenberger. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Pastor Tom Butcher officiating with burial to follow at the Bloomingburg Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Monday evening from 4-8:00 p.m. Online condolences may be sent to www.
