CAROLYN ELAINE BELL, age 69, of Washington CH, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, July 27, 2018 at 1:20 p.m. at Grant Medical Center. She was born on June 25, 1949 in Highland County to James and Pansey Davis Putney. Carolyn was currently employed at TFO in Jeffersonville where she has worked for the last twenty years.

She had attended the WOW Church in Bowersville. Carolyn was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister. She enjoyed shopping and being with her family.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents; son, Jason Hammock; and brothers, Randy Putney, and Bob Putney. Survivors include her children, Lynn (Robert Curnutte) Mustard, and Nicole (Jason) Crabtree; grandchildren, Justin (Chelsea) Humphrey, Meeka (Chris) Evans, Austin Knisley, Adam Crabtree, Robert “R.G.” Crabtree, Luke Crabtree, Cortney Crabtree, Blake Hammock, Nathan Hammock, Olivia Hammock, and Tristan Hammock; great-grandchildren, Brysin, Landen, Jorden, Aubree, Kayliauna, Paisley, and Peyton; and siblings, Wanda (John) Merritt, Jim (Rita) Putney, Jay Putney, and Chuck (Kathy) Putney. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

The funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 2, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Pastor Will Duke officiating with burial to follow at the Washington Cemetery.
