ROBERT “RABBIT” MILLS, age 64, of West Virginia, passed away on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at 9:43 a.m. at his daughters home. He was born on February 3, 1954 in Welch, West Virginia to John and Gladys Mullins Mills. Robert had worked as a coal miner for many years.

His daughter best described him as a “simple man” who enjoyed the music of Dr. Hook, a good can of snuff, and being with his granddaughter. Robert was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Keaton Mills; and brothers, Danny Mills, and Johnny Mills. Survivors include his children, Jeffery Mills, Jimmy Mills, Gladys “Sissy” Mills, Tommy Mills, Cora Mills, and Robert (Jennifer) Mills; grandchildren, Little Jeff, Chaz, Gunner, Selena, Ace’lynn, A’din, Kayla, Marshall, Nehmiah, Gary, Josiah, Baby Drema, Allison, John, and baby girl Leona coming soon; and siblings, James (Kim) Mills, and Carolyn (Larry) Mills-Wiley.

Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends. In keeping with his family’s wishes, cremation will take place and his daughter will be returning him “home” to West Virginia. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Summers Funeral Home to help cover funeral expenses.
