ROBERT FRANKLIN “BOBBY” IRVINE, age 59, passed away on Sunday, September 9, 2018 at 2:10 a.m. at his home. He was born on November 20, 1958 in Fayette County to Franklin S. and Janice K. Irvine. He was a 1978 graduate of Greenfield McClain High School.

Bobby worked on the farm with his father and also helped coach girl’s basketball at Greenfield McClain. He had attended the Pisgah Mt. Pleasant Federated Church in Greenfield during his childhood.

Bobby was a loving and devoted son, brother, and uncle. He enjoyed riding his gator, reading, politics, and was an avid sports fan. Bobby was preceded in death by his parents; and his nephew, Adam Sharp.

Survivors include his sister and brother-in-law, Suzanne and David Sharp; nephew, Aaron Sharp; aunts, Libby McGuffin, and Shirley Shields; and uncle, Charles Shields. Also surviving are many cousins and a host of special friends. The funeral service will be held on Friday, September 14, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Pastor Joe Stewart officiating with burial to follow at the South Salem Cemetery.

Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Friday afternoon from 1:30 p.m. until the time of service. Memorial contributions are suggested to Ohio’s Hospice of Fayette County, 222 N. Oakland Ave. , Washington CH, OH 43160 or the Adam Irvine Sharp Memorial Scholarship Fund c/o Merchants National Bank, 117 S. Washington St., Greenfield, OH 45123.
