EDGAR WADELL “BIMBO” ROLLINS, age 64, of Washington CH, passed away on Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at 4:37 p.m. at his home. He was born on September 29, 1953 in Highland County to Edgar Harding and Norma Evelyn Trimble Rollins. He was a 1971 graduate of Hillsboro High School.

Edgar proudly served his country in the US Navy from 1971 to 1973. He had worked as a concrete finisher and in construction for many years. Edgar had attended the First Church of God on Harrison St. in Washington CH.

He enjoyed fishing, writing his own music, singing, and being with his family and grandchildren. Edgar was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Deborah Rollins; and sister-in-law, Linda Ford. Survivors include his soul mate of twenty years, Vickie Groves; son, Brandon Rollins; and step-daughters, Taira Stepter, and Angela (Anthony) Graham; grandchildren, Austin, Payton, Brilla, Eric, Tyler, Isaiah, Samantha, Nate, and Rhea; brother, Jamie Ford; nieces, Norma Garrison, Daphne Garrison, and Jessica Tackett; and nephew, Kevin Garrison.

Also surviving are numerous great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and a host of friends. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Pastor Buddy Rickman officiating. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 5:00 p.m. until the time of service.
