CASEY DREW DAUGHERTY, age 20, of New Vienna, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. as a result of a motor vehicle accident. He was born on September 26, 1997 in Lancaster, Ohio to Eric Drew Young and Kimberly Lynn Daugherty Storer. Casey was currently employed at R&L Carriers in Wilmington and worked as a loader.

He enjoyed tinkering with cars, working in his yard, swimming, and being with his beloved son. Casey was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Dorothy Scott, and Beverly Young; grandfather, Richard Daugherty; and uncle, Michael Daugherty. Survivors include his parents, Eric Young, and Kimberly (Donald) Storer; his son, Theodore Jackson Lew Daugherty; his best friend and mother of his son, Jamison Moriah Grooms; siblings, Taylor Nichole Sampson, Devin Young, Kaylee Jene Young, and Tommy Young; nephew, Gannon Michael Ray Davidson; grandfather, William Scott; step-grandmother, Corrienna VanPelt; and special friend, Ashley Chain and the rest of his “Columbus” family.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the convenience of the family. In keeping with Casey’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Summers Funeral Home.
