DARLENE D. HAYNES August 2, 1928 – June 20,2018 Darlene D. (Wimer) Haynes, 89, of Hillsboro, Ohio formally of Washington Court House came to the end of life’s journey Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at home. Darlene was born August 2, 1928 in Washington Court House to the late Ernest and Dortha (Neal) Wimer. In June, 1946 she married Robert L. (Bud) Haynes who preceded her in death April, 1998.

She along with her husband ran the North Street Market grocery here for several years; worked at the Record Herald newspaper; and Kings Hallmark store. She loved being with family. Fun loving with a great sense of humor she enjoyed crafting, audiobooks, cooking, and computers.

She is survived by a son, Daniel (Cheryl) Haynes; a daughter, Shirley (Haynes) Prickett; two grandchildren, Kelly (Danny) Williams, Scott (Christy) Haynes; great grandchildren, Samantha Snively, and Adam Haynes; great-great grandchild Elijah Culp, and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother Earl Wimer and half- brother Ray Wimer. Funeral service will be held on Monday, June 25, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at the Morrow Funeral Home with Pastor Todd Maurer of the Crossroads Christian Church officiating with burial to follow at the Washington Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 11:00 a.m. until time of service.
