Obituary for Betty Jean Wahlstrom Betty J. Wahlstrom, 93, of Breitung Township passed away on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at ManorCare Health Services in Kingsford. She was born on June 3, 1925 in Iron Mountain, daughter of the late Arthur and Mary (Hooper) Crocker. Betty has been a resident of this area her entire life and was a 1943 graduate of Iron Mountain High School.

She married Jack Wahlstrom on December 15, 1945 at First United Methodist Church in Iron Mountain. Jack preceded her in death in 2014. Betty was a member of First United Methodist Church in Iron Mountain and an associate member of Desert Chapel Methodist in Apache Junction, AZ.

She was a choir member at both churches. Over the years, Betty served in many capacities at First United Methodist in Iron Mountain, including past president of the UMW, Secretary/Treasurer of the UMW, Financial Secretary of the church for twenty years and Sunday School Teacher. She loved to sew, knit and crochet.

Betty also enjoyed reading. Betty is survived by her children, John Wahlstrom of Breitung Twp. and Susan (Paul) Guth of Breitung Twp.

; five grandchildren, Jennifer (Tim) Spreen, Melissa (Brian) Jones, Kristin (Mark) Novara, Michelle Guth and Daniel (Erin) Guth; ten great grandchildren, Ella and Jack Spreen, Keira, Paige, Carter and Ashlyn Jones, Nicolas and Gianna Novara, Madison and Taylor Guth; several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her husband, Betty was preceded in death by her daughter in law, Karyn Wahlstrom. Visitation will be on Friday, Nov.

30th from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at First United Methodist Church in Iron Mountain. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 pm Friday at First United Methodist Church. Rev.

Walter Reichle will officiate. Burial will be in Cemetery Park. Pallbearers will be Daniel Guth, Tim Spreen, Brian Jones, Mark Novara, Mark Hansch and Rob Cook In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her memory to First Methodist Church of Iron Mountain.
