Obituary for Judith “Judy” Olsen Judith E. “Judy” Olsen, 88, of Iron Mountain, passed away on Monday, November 12, 2018, at Florence Health Services. She was born on April 23, 1930 in Iron Mountain, the daughter of the late Leslie and Ellen (Juuti) Cootware. Judy married Roland Olsen in 1950, in a double wedding ceremony with her sister Jean.

They lived in Aurora, Wisconsin until 1972, and then moved to Iron Mountain, where she has since resided. Judy was a stay at home mom whose top priority was taking care of her family. She kept an immaculate home, made the best homemade bread and always found time to help others when needed.

She is a member of the First Covenant Church, where she served as a Sunday School and Bible School teacher, youth group worker and a member of the choir. Judy is survived by her daughter, Beth (Bob) Swanson of Iron Mountain; her son, Kim (fiancée Jeanette) Olsen of Greenleaf, Wisconsin; a sister, Victoria “Mickey” Hoffer of Golden Valley, Minnesota; five grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roland in 2008; her daughter in law Debby; her sister Jean and a brother David.

In accordance with Judy’s wishes, a private family service will be held. Burial will be in the Homestead-Aurora Cemetery. “To everything there is a season…”.
