Betty Jean Wilson Riddle, 82, of Owensboro, passed away on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at Signature Healthcare at Hillcrest. She was born on April 1, 1936 in Breckinridge County, KY to the late Guy and Delia Adaliene Hedden Wilson. She worked at Sears, General Electric and RCA.

She grew up on a farm in Philpot, helping her daddy farm. As a child, she attended Karns Grove Baptist Church and then Walnut Street Baptist Church and was a member of Boulevard Baptist Church in Virginia. Betty was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her first husband, James Wedding; her second husband, Raymond Riddle; and her sister, Wanda Page. Survivors include her husband, Danny Brummitt; daughter, Cathy Wedding-Roper; grandson, Steven James Roper; great-grandson, Cayden James Roper; three nieces and one nephew. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday, October 6, 2018 in the chapel at James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory.

Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation is from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
