Betty Mae Money passed away Saturday, January 12, 2019 in Columbus, Georgia. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at Parkhill Cemetery, Chapel of Pines beginning at 2:00 PM ET with Rev. Buddy Lamb officiating.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00-2:00 PM. Betty was born August 9, 1925 in Montgomery, Alabama to Clinton Thomas Summersgill and Freddie Nina Lane. She moved to Columbus, Georgia in 1972 and was head cashier at Newberry’s in Montgomery, Alabama, a homemaker and worked as a bookkeeper at Camper City.

Betty was a member of Living Grace United Methodist Church and loved her family. She is preceded in death by her husband of almost 67 years, Herbert Louis Money. Surviving are her daughter, Katherine “Kathy” M. Williams (Johnny); son, Herbert Louis “Buddy” Money, Jr (Linda); 6 grandchildren, Aimee Williams, Joshua Williams, Marie Frost, Mathew Money, Renee Money and Amanda Money; 8 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
