Betty Pearl Cecil, 87, of Bardstown, passed away Thursday, June 19, 2018 at University of Louisville Hospital. She was born August 15, 1930 in Taylorsville, she was a homemaker, a strong woman who loved deeply and served the Lord faithfully throughout her life, and a member of Mill Creek Baptist Church. She was the beloved wife and life partner of Robert Cecil who she loved till the day she died.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Miller Cecil; parents, Newt and Pearl Hardin; siblings, Ethel Mae (Arnold) Morris, Anna Lee (Charlie) Hicks, Mary Louise (John) Chissom, Emma Joyce (Thomas) Taylor, Ernest Cleo Hardin; and J.W. and Zelma Cecil. She is survived by one son, Wayne Cecil of Bardstown; two daughters, Judy Cecil Shircliffe of Taylorsville, Terri Cecil Rozaieski of Springfield; four grandchildren, Jonathan Michael Shircliffe, Alexandra Nicole Shircliffe, Jaden Grace Rozaieski, Ainsley Faith Rozaieski; sister-in-law, Doris Hardin; loyal friend, Puggy; and numerous special friends. Her funeral service will be 11:00 am Monday, July 23, 2018 at Mill Creek Baptist Church, with burial in Mill Creek Cemetery.

Rev. Denny Haynes will officiate. Visitation will be 1:00pm until 6:00 pm Sunday July 22 and 9:00 am until 10:30 am Monday July 22 at Barlow Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may go to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
