BETTY RAE GALLAHER Betty Rae Gallaher, 90, of Quincy, passed away at 6:00 am Thursday (November 8, 2018) in Good Samaritan Home. Born April 1, 1928 in Quincy, Betty was the daughter of Peggy Arnold. She married Wilburn “Bill” Gallaher on June 27, 1946 in Quincy.

He preceded her in death on November 16, 1993. Betty was of the Christian Faith. She enjoyed listening to Jazz Music, crocheting, doing cross stitch, riding horses and going slalom water skiing.

Betty was employed as an Inspector in the Quality Control Department for Motorola and later worked at K-Mart for many years until her retirement. Survivors include a daughter, Lori DePauw of Mexico, MO; three grandchildren, Rosemary Rae Goehl (Nathaniel) of Quincy, Stephanie Ann Buss (Bryan) of Marblehead, IL and Jason Hickerson of Mexico, MO; five great grandchildren, Travis Koontz, Seth Adrian, Joshua Buss, Stacey Bohne all of Quincy and Mitchell Buss of Marblehead, IL; and two great great granddaughters, Jasmine and Lillian. Betty was preceded in death by her parents and two daughters Rosemary “Rosie” Hinch and Mary Wear.

Graveside services will be held Monday morning at 11:30 in the Payson New Cemetery in Payson, Illinois. Visitation will be held Monday morning from 10:00 until 11:15 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home. Memorials may be made in Joe Ware’s name to the Eber Garden Activity fund at Good Samaritan Home.

Arrangements are in the care of the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home.
