J. D. BARTLOW Joseph Delbert “J. D.” Bartlow, 67, of Ursa, Illinois, passed away at 10:40 a.m. Wednesday (December 26, 2018) in his home. Born May 6, 1951 in Quincy, J.D. was the son of James D. and Mary Rena Lane Bartlow.

He married Bonnie Davis on July 2, 2002 at TNT Harley Davidson in Quincy. She survives. A graduate of Quincy High School, J. D. was employed at Quincy Compressor for many years.

He retired at the time of their closing. J. D. was a native artifact hunter and collector. An avid outdoorsman who enjoyed nature, J. D. enjoyed mushroom hunting, fishing, hunting and especially loved cross country rides on his Harley Davidson SoftTail Heritage Classic motorcycle.

Survivors include his wife, Bonnie; his son Jaydon T. Bartlow (Missy) of Canton, MO; a step daughter, Kayla Resendiz (Josh) of Avon, IN; two step sons, Gavon Tappe of Quincy and Dalton Tappe of Bloomington, IN; three grandchildren, Bradon Bartlow, Teagan Resendiz and May Resendiz; a brother, Jackie Lee Bartlow (Sherri) of Hannibal, MO; and many loving nieces and nephews. Mr. Bartlow was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother in infancy Lee Roy Thomas. Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 1:30 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home with Resha Brock officiating.

Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Camp Point. Visitation will be held Saturday afternoon from 12:00 Noon until the time of services at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Bonnie Bartlow to help with expenses.
