Betty Jane Stipetich, 86, of Struthers, Ohio died Wednesday afternoon September 5, 2018 at University Hospital in Andover, Ohio. She was born January 18, 1932 in Youngstown, OH, daughter of Ralph and Mary (Ramun) Peluso and had been a lifelong area resident. Betty was a 1950 graduate of Struthers High School and had attended Youngstown College.

She worked as an accountant. She was a member of Christ Our Savior Parish at St. Nicholas in Struthers where she had also belonged to the Altar and Rosary Society. She enjoyed cooking and sewing.

She leaves her husband, Thomas W. Stipetich, Sr., whom she married July 16, 1955; three sons, Thomas Stipetich, Jr. of Struthers, James (Judy Sluss) Stipetich of Youngstown, and Robert Stipetich of Struthers; a grandson, Vasilica Stipetich serving in the Army, and a sister, Caroline Brahney of Sewickley, Pa. ; a sister-in-law, Angeline Peluso of Struthers, as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Betty was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Peluso, and her sister, Violet Dalesandro.

A prayer service will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday September 11, 2018 at the Davidson Becker Funeral Home in Struthers, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at Christ Our Savior Parish St. Nicholas Church in Struthers with Father Martin Celuch officiating.
