Beverly Jean Spencer age 76, of Alma, MI, passed away Sunday, April 29, 2018, at her home. Funeral Services will be held at Faith First Church of Alma, 120 W. Superior St., Alma, MI, on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at 11:00 A.M., with Pastor Carl Cecil officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service.

Burial will be at Sterling Cemetery, Sterling, MI. Bev was born in Twining, MI on March 3, 1942, the daughter of David and Flora (Trusley) Ferns. She attended Arenac Eastern High School, Arenac County, MI.

On December 9, 1962, Bev married Arnold Spencer at the Reorganized Church of Latter Day Saints in Bentley, MI. They spent the last 55 years of their lives together and were easily recognized traveling around Alma in their van. Bev loved animals, especially cats and squirrels.

She was an avid reader. Bev enjoyed shopping and collecting things. She also enjoyed going to tractor shows all over Michigan with Arnold.

They were members of the Antique Tractor Club. Bev is survived by her husband Arnold, 2 brothers: Larry Ferns, and Harry Ferns, sister-in-law Ruth Spencer, brother-in-law Melvin Spencer and niece Tonda (Gary) Waterstredt. Bev was preceded in death by her parents, and an infant sister.
