Funeral service for Bill Boyd, 72, of Decatur, will be Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at 7:00PM at Peck Funeral Home with Bro. Jamie Grubbs officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5:00PM to 7:00PM at the funeral home.

Mr. Boyd died October 19, 2018. He was born January 25, 1946 in Tennessee to Thomas Vernon Boyd and Sabrinia Lenora Williams Boyd. Mr. Boyd worked in construction for Barnhart Crane and Rigging.

He loved to work. Mr. Boyd gave his life to the Lord at 16 years old at Appleton Church of Christ in Appleton, Tennessee. He attended Trinity Baptist Church.

Mr. Boyd was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Bob Boyd and Jerry Don Boyd; and one sister, Betty Jane Thompson. Survivors include: His Wife: Dena Boyd One Son: Mike Boyd (Lynn) One Daughter: Teresa Boyd One Brother: Ted Boyd Two Grandchildren: Sumer White (Chase) Brock Boyd Two Great Grandchildren: Hank and Hannah Rose White In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to the Weems Sunday School class at Trinity Baptist Church.
