Nancy Nelson Phelps, a beloved wife, mother, sister and friend passed away at home on October 11, after losing her valiant battle with cancer. She was born in Circleville, Ohio and lived in Florida and Virginia before settling in Hartselle, Alabama with her family. Nancy is survived by an adoring and beloved family: Husband Billy Phelps, sons Jesse and Matt Phelps, sisters Susan Parisi, Mary Ann Davis, Jane Becker, Kimberly Phelps Rogers, Kerry Phelps Dale and Mickey Addison.

She also leaves behind 11 much-loved nieces and nephews and her cherished dogs Dottie and Jack. Nancy’s creative and entrepreneurial spirit conceived of then brought to reality El Marie’s Antiques and Art Marketplace in Hartselle, where she was both owner and operator. Nancy’s cascade of laughter, joy and light will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Service will be held Monday, October 15 at 1pm Peck Funeral Home 1600 Highway 31 S Hartselle, AL 35640 All are invited following the service to celebrate her life: El Marie’s Antiques & Art Marketplace 201 Sparkman St. NW Hartselle, AL Contributions to Cancer Research Institute.
