Falkville Funeral service for Cora Powell, 85, will be Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at 1:00 PM at Powell’s Chapel Church with Rev. Dennis Shaddix and Rev. Doug Smith officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Burial will be in Powell’s Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, October 16, 2018 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home. Mrs. Powell died on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at her residence.

She was born January 23, 1933, in Winston County to Timothy Jarret and Effie Steele Jarret. She was a graduate of Speake High School and a member of the Powell’s Chapel Church. She was employed as a Supervisor for Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company prior to her retirement.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Horace W. Powell, her parents, two sons: Jerry Wayne Powell and Gary Lane Powell and two sisters: Doris Penn and Audrey Legg. Survivors include: One Son: Timothy Allen Powell Eight Grandchildren Six Great Grandchildren Pallbearers will be Grandsons & Family members. Peck Funeral Home 1600 Hwy 31 SW P.O.
