Obituary for Bill Clay Bill Clay, of Rockwall, TX, passed away on July 9, 2018. He was a loving and precious husband, father, grandfather and a kind friend. Bill was born in Dallas, TX, on May 25, 1930.

After four years in the U.S. Marine Corps, he attended college, graduating from East Texas State University in Commerce. He spent 32 years with DISD as a teacher, coach, and Youth Action Dept. Advisor.

Bill married Mary Owen on December 30, l957. After retirement, he enjoyed working out regularly at the YMCA and participating in senior bowling leagues. Bill was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Rockwall.

Bill was a very kind, unselfish and gentle-natured person who never spoke negatively of anyone. Although he was a quiet person, he had a quick wit and could provide others with a laugh with his delivery of amusing “one-liners”. He had a deep love for his family and they were his pride and joy.

His three grandchildren were a special delight and they loved him deeply in return. Bill is survived by his wife: Mary; two daughters: Andrea Paschal and her husband Mark and Kerri Moses and her husband Rex; three grandchildren: Matt, Ellen and Katie Moses; twin brother: Bobby and sister-in-law Marilyn Spivey; and several nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held 11:00am Thursday, July 19, 2018, at First Baptist Church of Rockwall – ML Jones Chapel.
