Billy Ray Moose, 79, of Concord, NC passed away Saturday, September 29, 2018 at his home surrounded by family. Billy was born August 22, 1939 in Cabarrus County, NC to the late Wallace Daniel Moose and the late Clara McDaniel Baker. He was also preceded in death by his first wife Carolyn Blackwelder Moose; his brother Larry Moose; and sister Diane Jamison.

Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Shirley McClamrock Moose; son Tim Moose and wife Laura; daughter Julie Moose Hatley and husband Brian; grandchildren Brandon Moose, Britney Lloyd, Trevor Moose, Dillon Hartsell and Dylan Moose; honorary grandchildren Will and Meredith Mayhew; four great grandchildren Izzy and Carly Lloyd, Weston and Whitney Moose; sisters Pat Auten and Linda Cordell, as well as several nieces and nephews. Mr. Moose attended Mt. Pleasant High School, and proudly served in the United States Army as a radio operator in Germany.

He was owner of Pro-Siding and Windows Company for 34 years. The family will receive friends from 12:30 pm – 2:00 pm, Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at Broadus Baptist Church 59 Green St. Concord. A memorial service will follow at 2:00 pm, officiated by Rev.

Dr. Rodney Quesenberry. Burial will take place at Mt. Hermon Lutheran Church Cemetery with military honors.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, or the Shriner’s Hospital of your choice. Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord is serving the Moose family. Memories and condolences may be shared at www.
