OBITUARY Blanche Marie Russell February 25, 1944 – July 24, 2018 Blanche Marie Russell Services for Blanche Marie Russell, 74, of Lufkin, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday July 28, 2018 in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Jonesville Cemetery. Mrs. Russell was born February 25, 1944 in Liberty, Texas, the daughter of the late Effie Almetta (Henson) and Edward Jackson West.

She passed away Tuesday, July 24, 2018 in Henderson. Mrs. Russell was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed reading her Bible and drinking her coffee.

Survivors include her daughter, Norma Engebos of Henderson; daughter and son-in-law, Donna Kay and Greg Dent of Kansas City; son and daughter-in-law, Emmitt and Allison Russell of Lufkin; daughter, Ada Matthews of Henderson; daughter, Alma Marie West of Lufkin; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; sister, Almetta Lavonn Kelly of Humble; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Carolyn and Charles Broussard, R. L. and Louise Thompson; James H. Russell and Carol Ann Russell; and a number of other family members. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Russell was preceded in death by her husband, Albert “PeeWee” A. Russell; and grandsons, Cody Andrew Russell and Jarrett Copper Russell. Pallbearers will be Bronson Kelly, Thomas Lynn Grimes, Jimmy Wayne Grimes, George Kelly, James Delbert Russell, Willie Lambert and Dary Schneider.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home. Condolences may be offered at www. gipsonfuneralhome.com Services have been placed in the trust of Gipson Funeral Home.
