Blanche S. Picker, 89, of Granite City, Illinois passed away at 12:10 p.m. on Monday, September 24, 2018 at her home. She was born December 19, 1928 in Belle, Missouri, a daughter of the late Peter and Sophie (Rounsaville) Fourcault. She married Bennie W. Picker on August 9, 1946 in Belle, Missouri and he passed away at October 28, 2007.

She retired from K-Mart in Collinsville after over 20 years of dedicated service as a cashier. She had also worked as a beautician for many years. She was a loving homemaker whom was dedicated to her family.

She enjoyed her years as a “Winter Texan” and enjoyed her days of sewing, gardening and tending to her yard. Blanche loved everyone and will be remembered for the love and special times shared with her family and friends. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Bobby A. and Nancy J. Picker of Idaho Falls, Idaho and Bernard L. “Buz” and Carla S. Picker of Troy, Missouri; two daughters, Bronda D. Picker of Granite City and Benita M. Picker of Bridgeton, Missouri; six grandchildren; many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; many nieces; nephews; other extended family and friends.

In addition to her beloved husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson; two brothers, Hillard Fourcault and Peter Fourcault Jr. and two sisters, Jeanette Abbegg and Mary Etta Geldbach. In celebration of her life, visitation will be at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road in Granite City on Thursday, September 27, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. where funeral services will be held on Friday, September 28, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. with Reverend Mike Rayson officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Memorial Gardens in Fairview Heights, Illinois.

Memorials may be made to Heartland Hospice and may be accepted at the funeral home.
