Thomas J. Bridick, age 75, of Granite City, IL, passed away with his loving family by his side on Thursday, September 20, 2018 at Edwardsville Nursing and Rehab, Edwardsville, IL. Tom was born on August 11, 1943 in Granite City, IL, a son of the late Thomas M. Bridick and Mary C. (Mega) Bridick. On October 5, 1963, Tom married Jeanne R. Proffitt, the love of his life.

Jeanne passed away on December 8, 2001. He retired as an electrician from Granite City Steel after forty years of dedicated service. After retiring, Tom worked as an electrical inspector for Granite City for many years.

He was a jack of all trades and he could repair or build anything. Tom also enjoyed playing many rounds of golf with his family and friends. His greatest joy was spending time with his family.

Tom loved life, he loved to laugh, but most of all he loved his family. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. In addition to his parents and wife, Tom was preceded in death by a daughter, Susan Blacharczyk; and by one brother, Dan Bridick.

He is survived by his loving daughters, Lori (Michael) Henderson of Granite City, IL, Cynthia (Patrick) Delaney of Sauget, IL and Yvonne (Christopher) Lait of Mercer, PA; brother, Dave Bridick of Madison, IL; proud grandfather to Sarah Henderson, Justin Bridick, Joseph Henderson, Joseph Blacharczyk, Matthew Blacharczyk, Paulina Henderson, Anthony Delaney, Aaron Blacharczyk, Meghan Delaney, Breanna Blacharczyk, Amy Blacharczyk and Emlin Lait; proud great-grandfather to four great-grandchildren; nephew, Kevin (Cindy) Bridick; extended family and many wonderful friends. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 23, 2018 at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road, Granite City, IL. In celebration of his life, funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, September 24, 2018 at Irwin Chapel, Granite City, IL, with Chaplain Thomas Nadelin officiating.

Tom will be laid to rest next to Jeanne at Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Edwardsville, IL. Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www. irwinchapel.com.
