Bobby “Bob” Louis Carnegie January 12, 1941 – February 15, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card “Bob” Bobby Louis Carnegie 78 of McComb, MS passed away peacefully at his residence surrounded by his family. Visitation will be Tuesday evening at Hartman Jones Funeral Home 1801 Delaware Ave. McComb, MS from 5 until 8 PM and Wednesday from 11:00 until services at 1:00 PM in the funeral home chapel.

Burial will follow at New Zion / Nunnery Cemetery in Liberty, MS. Bro. Sid Hinkle will officiate the services.

Pallbearers will be Chris Williams, Mike Gattis, John Paulk, McCain Carnegie, Ricky Carnegie and Vernon Haygood. Mr. Carnegie was born on January 12, 1941 to the late Richard and Viola Carnegie. He was a self employed carpenter/owner of Bob’s Remodeling for 40 years.

He enjoyed fishing, sports, listening to gospel music and spending time with friends and family. He loved riding through the countryside and traveling. Mr. Bob loved animals, especially his puppy “Sissy”.

He also loved to sing and he had a beautiful voice. He attended Liberty Elementary and Liberty High School, and enjoyed attending church. Mr. Carnegie was preceded in death by his parents Richard and Viola Carnegie; one daughter Kristen Marie Carnegie; one brother and sister in law Marion and Inez Carnegie; one sister Francis Haygood.

He is survived by his fiance’ Katie Wheat; one son Scott Carnegie and his wife Lisa of Smithdale, MS; one daughter Jeanne Williams and her husband Chris of Liberty, MS; two step children Nathan Helms and Amy Fortner of TN; one brother in law Vernon “Dude” Haygood of Liberty, MS; five grandchildren Eric Williams, Lindsey Lee and her husband Stephen, Coleigh Scronce and her husband Levi, Shelby James and her husband Colte, McCain Carnegie; two Great Grandchildren Grayson Rogers and Eli Scronce. In lieu of flowers please make contributions to the New Zion / Nunnery Cemetery for upkeep.
