Bobby Terrell Enlow July 10, 1936 – February 01, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Bobby Terrell Enlow Sr. of Magnolia passed away on Friday, February 1, 2019 at the home of his son Scott. Services are at Bluff Springs Baptist Church near Progress on Monday, February 4, 2019 with visitation beginning at 9:00 am and services at 10:30 am. Burial will be in the Bluff Springs Church Cemetery.

Mr. Enlow was born in Foxworth, Mississippi on July 10, 1936 to Sydney Eugene Enlow and Earline Enlow. He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years Billie Jean Enlow, his parents, a son Bobby Terrell Enlow Jr. and a daughter Lisa Gay Enlow. His is survived by his sons and their wives Michael and Rena, Mark and Jenny and Scott and Donna as well as grandsons, granddaughters and a host of nieces and nephews.

He also had a very close and special friend with whom he regularly played music, Mr. Tyrone Roberts. Bobby T. Enlow Sr. will be remembered for his love of music and the musical talent he embraced in being a guitar player for over 70 years. He played music professionally as a member of Jimmy Swan and The Sons Of The South playing tour dates across the southern states including the Louisiana Hayride Radio Show as well as a weekly television show on WDAM TV in Hattiesburg from 1950-1956.

He also worked as the nightly disk jockey on WFOR Radio in Hattiesburg in the late 1950’s. He and Jimmy Swan recorded for MGM, Trumpet and RCA/Victor record labels. The 1950’s Billboard Top 10 hit they recorded together titled Good and Lonesome Bobby had written for his then future wife Billie Jean.

A severe car accident that left him with a broken neck and caused him to be paralyzed for 18 months ended his professional music career. After that he Married his wife Billie Jean and moved to Magnolia where he lived until his death. He also worked for Gibson’s Department Store in McComb and also Farris Brother’s Sporting Goods of Hattiesburg.
