Charles J. “Charlie” Culotta July 05, 1942 – May 21, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card Charles J. “Charlie” Culotta, 76, of Summit, MS. , passed away on May 21, 2019 at his residence. Visitation for Mr. Culotta will be Friday, May 24, 2019 from 9 AM until 12 PM at Hartman- Jones Funeral Home of McComb, MS with a graveside service to follow at 12:30 PM at Woodlawn Cemetery in Summit, MS.

Richie Culotta will officiate. Charlie was born on July 5, 1942 in Summit, MS to the late, Joe and Margie Rayborn Culotta. Charlie attended Southwest Community College along with Ole Miss and was a member of First Baptist Church of McComb where he was a first grade Sunday school teacher for twenty-three years with his wife Joyce.

He also attended First Baptist Church of Magnolia. Charlie worked at L&M Tire Service for over twenty years before opening and operating Culotta Tire and Auto Center for ten years. He was also a member of the Lion’s Club and Pike County Arts Council.

Mr. Culotta loved his family and animals, especially his horses. He also enjoyed traveling and dancing. Along with these, he loved helping people.

Charlie was a jokester at heart and loved making people smile. He was athletic, being the MVP of his basketball team at McComb High School where he met his wife. He also enjoyed ping pong and tennis.

He loved entertaining the local nursing home residents. He will be sadly missed by those who knew and loved him. Preceding him in death are his parents; his loving wife of thirty-two wonderful years, Joyce Richmond Culotta, whom sadly passed away at 55, but was the love of his life; and a nephew Joey Culotta.

He is survived by a son, Richie Culotta (Rona Blalock); a daughter, Kim Culotta Brewer (Bill); a brother, Tom Culotta (Connie); seven grandchildren, Ashley Forman (Jarrett), Kaileigh Dustin (Zach), Kelsey Rotolo (Wade), Cameron Culotta (Anna), Katie Brewer, Colby Culotta, and Cory Culotta; and two great-grandchildren, Anna Grace Rotolo and Brighton Leigh Dustin, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Pallbearers for Mr. Culotta’s service will be Jarrett Foreman, Brett Lott, Zach Dustin, Cory Culotta, Wade Rotolo, and Cameron Culotta. Honorary pallbearers will be Matthew Culotta, Van Futch, Ted Rayborn, and Colby Culotta, his grandson who is serving as a missionary in Africa.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations in Mr. Culotta’s name be made to PALS. SERVICES Visitation Friday, May 24, 2019 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM Hartman-Jones Funeral Home 1801 Delaware Ave.
