Mebane – Bobby Talmadge Hughes, 80, passed away Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at Alamance Regional Medical Center surrounded by his family. He was born on June 10, 1938 in Alamance County to the late Talmadge McKinley Hughes and Nellie Sue Perry Hughes and was the husband to Gail Cannon Hughes of 48 years who survives. Bobby served in the US Air Force for 10 years, was a truck driver for over 35 years and worked as a security guard at Gold Toe for 14 years.

Survivors other than his wife, Gail Hughes includes a daughter, Nakita Sue Posey and husband, James; a son, Michael Duane Hughes and wife, Evelyn “Nikki”; grandchildren, Dustin, Michael, Sarah, Ian and Evan, and a great grandson, Brandon.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Joseph “Joe” William Hughes. The family will have a private inurnment in the mausoleum at Alamance Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Landmark Baptist Church, 171 West Old Glencoe Rd.
