Obituary for Bonnie Belle Keener (Keener) Bonnie B. Keener, 72, of Ashland, passed away Thursday afternoon, November 15, 2018 at University Hospital Samaritan Medical Center. Bonnie was born in Ashland on July 26, 1946 the daughter of Donald R. and Geraldine L. (Ross) Keener and following the death of Geraldine she was raised by Evelyn G. (Piper) Crossen Keener. She has been a resident of Ashland her entire lifetime.

She was a graduate of Mapleton High School class of 1965 and received an associate degree from Midland College of Commerce of Ashland. She was employed by Topping Bros. Ford for 11 ½ years and then Donley Ford for 30 ½ years before she retired.

Bonnie was a member of the Maple Grove Church of the Brethren and the Testament Journey Sunday School Class. She enjoyed reading Amish Cook Books, quilting, crocheting, word search, dot-to-dot and coloring books and spending time with her family. She was also very proud to have been the first patient to open the Ashland Dialysis Center in November of 2007.

She is survived by her siblings, Paula Monroe of Mansfield, Della Fisher of Ashland and Thomas R. Keener of Ashland; 13 nieces and nephews, 19 great nieces and nephews and 11 great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her birth parents, Donald R. and Geraldine L. Keener, her mother Evelyn G. Keener, a brother, Roger C. Keener; a sister, Connie L. Trask and a niece, Holly Zook. Funeral services will be held Saturday November 24, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the Maple Grove Church of the Brethren with the Rev.

John Ballinger officiating. Burial will be in the Nankin Cemetery. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday at the maple Grove Church.

The family suggests that memorial contributions may be made to the Maple Grove Church of the Brethren, 960 Twp. Rd. 964 Ashland, Ohio 44805.
