Obituary for Floyd Edward Culler Obituary – Floyd E. Culler October 29, 1937 – November 2, 2018 “We Went to Different Schools Together” Floyd Edward Culler, 81, resident of Ashland, formerly of Savannah, passed away peacefully Friday morning, November 2, 2018. Floyd was born in Richland County, Ohio on October 29, 1937, son of Hugh and Martha Culler. Among many of his occupations such as Facilities Maintenance and Factory Worker, Floyd was also a loyal and dedicated Aircraft Engine Mechanic in the US Air-Force and ultimately retired as a Top Peer-Reviewed Driving Instructor for over-the-road heavy transit.

In his spare time he also enjoyed earning some hobby money to support his love of leather crafting, but most of the time he was content to give away his creations to see the delight they would bring to the faces of those he cared about. To know him was to understand and appreciate the title. Floyd’s anecdotes, sense of humor and clever responses always held your attention and could easily put a smile on the face of a stranger.

Other than his family and his Savior, who he cherished beyond words, his heart and soul was torn somewhere between his love of WWII Aircraft, the grit of a good Western, the freedom of Motorcycles, the majesty of Horses, and the endless pursuit of marksmanship…yet all would pale in comparison in the presence of his children’s accomplishments or the honesty of a child’s question. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hugh & Martha Culler, and his three sisters, Nancy Bruce; Sally (Culler) Whetstone, and Esther (Culler) Gray, and his two brothers Bradley & Steve Culler, and his granddaughter Sierra Culler. Floyd was survived by his wife Linda Culler of 54 years, married (June 21, 1964) at First Church of God, Wooster, Ohio.

Also surviving are his siblings: Joyce (Culler) Belt; and Rose (Culler) Allen; his children: Nancy (Culler) Borton; David Culler; Dan Culler; Mary (Culler) Johnson; Jennifer Culler; Bill Culler; his Grandchildren: Michael Wahl, Melissa Van Stensel, Sarah Yoder, Daniel Wheeler; Zander, Natacia, Aowynn & Tennyson Culler; Kaylee & James Culler; Natalie Johnson; Isaac Culler; and 10 Great-Grandchildren. Memorial Services to be held at Bethel Baptist Church of Savannah on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at 10:30am. 575 US 250, Savannah, OH 44874.
