Obituary for Ryan Hunter Phalen Ryan Hunter Phalen, 34 Ryan Hunter Phalen, 34 of Glenshaw, Pennsylvania, formerly of Ashland passed away, October 5, 2018 in UPMC Shadyside Hospital in Pittsburgh. He was born on August 3, 1984 in Chamblee, Georgia to Michael and Rose (nee Phillips) Phalen. Ryan graduated from Ashland High School, Class of 2003.

He earned an Associates Degree in Technology from ITT in 2006. Throughout his life, Ryan enjoyed playing video games with his friends. He is survived by his loving mother, Rose (Dean) Lease of Ashland; his loving father, Michael (Diane) Phalen of Woodstock, Georgia; his maternal grandmother, Betty Phillips of Ashland; his paternal grandparents, Frank and Patricia Phalen of Georgia; two step brothers, Kyle Phalen and Dalton (Lauren) Phalen; his aunts and uncles, Barbara (Keith) Echelberger, Patricia (Dennis) Simpson, Frank (Kathy) Phillips, Tim Phalen, and Shawn (Mark) Tracey; and numerous cousins.

Ryan is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Virgil Phillips and an uncle, Owen Phillips. A memorial service celebration Ryan’s life, will be held at a later date. Interment will be in the Trinity Cemetery.
