Ms. Slater was born August 11, 1956 in Springfield, Missouri. She was the Manager of Barfield Propane Company, member of Tapp United Methodist Church and is preceded in death by a nephew, Alex Barfield and an Aunt Eileen Peacock.

Survivors include one son and daughter in law, Hunter and Beverly Missildine of Avery, Texas, father and step mother, Arnold Jr. and Lynn Barfield of New Boston, Texas, mother, Ruby Derrick of Granbury, Texas, one sister, Geneva Fulgium of New Boston, Texas, one brother, Arnold Barfield, III of New Boston, Texas, two grandchildren, Kodi and Brydon Jones of Broken Bow, Oklahoma, her fur baby Beto, numerous other family members and friends Memorial Services will be held 11:00 A.M, Saturday, March 30, 2019 at Tapp Methodist Church, New Boston with Bro. Tommy Earl Burton officiating. Refreshments following service.
