Brian J. Pelham, 61, of Vermontville passed on July 21, 2018 at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing. Brian was born December 28, 1956 in Alma to Charles Jr. and Margia (Miller) Pelham. He graduated from Hopkins High School in 1975 then attend Wolverine Farrier School, leading to a 43-year career of servicing horses all over Michigan.

For 20 years he worked for Center Manufacturing in Byron Center. Brian loved to hunt but, hunting bears was a true passion for him. He will be dearly missed by: wife Karen, children; Justin (Jennifer) Pelham, Stacie Pelham, Joshua (Shannon) Pelham, Hunter Pelham and Cody Cruttenden; grandchildren; Tyler, Aurora, Violet, Bryce, Dallas, Kadence, Autumn, Max and Brennan, step children; Steve (Christin O’Haren) Smith, Becky (Dave Hoaglin) Robinson and Carrie Humphrey, step grandchildren; Breanna, Morgan, Calvin, Dylan, Paige, Alex, Cameron, Jordan, Preston and Arthur, siblings; Kamelin (Ron) Polk and Charles (Linda) Pelham III.

Preceding Brian in death: by his parents and sister Carrie Cook. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 from 12noon until 4pm at Koops Funeral Home with Funeral services starting at 6pm. Private family burial will take place in Breckenridge.

In Lieu of flowers memorials can be given in Brian’s name to the Spirit Farms Riding Center of YMCA Camp Manitou-Lin. Online condolences can be left at www. koopsfc.com.
