Bruce E. Hall, 63 years old, passed away at 12:40 p.m. on Monday, June 4, 2018, at Memorial Hospital, South Bend. Bruce was born on February 16, 1955, in Asheville, NC to the late Edward and Lena Hall. He has been a resident of the South Bend area since 2000.

On February 14, 1985 in Indianapolis, IN, after years as childhood sweethearts, Bruce and Andra “Andi” Yamber were united in marriage. Along with his loving wife, Andi, Bruce is survived by his children, Angelique McBride of Indianapolis, IN, Michael and Shelley McBride of Salem, IN, Mary and Aaron Blender of South Bend and Lisa and Brenden Goodman of Mishawaka; nine grandchildren, Alisha, Elijah, Darian, Harley, Anthony, Nathan, Beth, Merissa, Aiden and one grandchild on the way. Bruce is also survived by his niece and nephew, Amy Benge and Blake.

Along with his parents, Bruce was preceded in death by his sister, Diane Benge. Bruce was a talented computer programmer for mortgage software. More recently, he was employed in transportation of parts for O’Reilly Auto Parts.

He honorably served his country with the United States Army during the Vietnam War, where he was a recipient of the National Defense Service Medal, Expert Hand Grenade, and Marksman M16. A Celebration of Bruce’s Life will be held on Father’s Day, June 17, 2018. Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, South Bend and Southlawn Cremation Services is assisting the family.
