Tuesday, March 12, 2019, at Pendergrass Cemetery VISITATION: Family will receive friends at Comanche Funeral Home from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Monday, March 11, 2019, and from 8:30 A.M. on Tuesday, March 12, 2019, until time to leave for the graveside service. Bruna C. Estrada, age 98, passed away on Sunday, March 10, 2019, in Comanche, Texas. She was born on October 6, 1920, in Fratt, Texas, to Asscencion and Genoveva (Trevino) Carrillo.

On June 21, 1952, she was united in marriage to Jose M. Estrada in San Antonio, Texas. He preceded her in death on December 31, 1992. Bruna was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother.

She was a hardworking homemaker and an excellent cook. She was always busy and even a few days before she died she still loved to sew and embroider. Bruna was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Erath County.

She is survived by daughters, Vickie Najera and husband Frank of Whitney, Lupe Gutierrez and husband Noah of Sidney, Linda Doolittle and husband David of Ray City, Georgia, Josie Terry and husband Kendal of Comanche; son, Ray Carrillo and wife Candy of San Antonio; daughters, Stella Longoria and husband Andrew of San Antonio, Dolores Plazola of San Antonio; son, Joe Estrada, Jr., of Houston; thirty-one grandchildren; twenty-six great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, Alfred Rodriguez; three grandsons, Ramiro Montoya, Michael Richmond, and David Doolittle, Jr.; three sisters and three brothers.
