Burton L. Wright, 82, of Connersville, passed away Monday afternoon, September 17, 2018, at Rural Health Care Center in Indianapolis. He had been in failing health for the past two years. Burton was born August 20, 1936, in Laurel, Indiana, one of five children of Lloyd L. and Clara Louise Moster Wright.

He attended school in Laurel and moved to the family farm in Fayette County in 1948. A 1954 graduate of Orange High School, Burton lived in Fayette County most of his life. He had been employed at Design & Manufacturing and also at Metal Plating.

Burton was a member of St. Gabriel church. He was an excellent musician and was blessed with a beautiful singing voice. He had entertained at many venues throughout the tri-state.

Survivors include three sisters, Sonya Webb and her husband, Robert, Glenda Lutz, all of Connersville, Norma Fisher of Charlotte, North Carolina; a brother, Farley Wright and his wife, Teresa, of Connersville; a number of nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. Burton was preceded in death by his parents and a nephew, Rick Lutz. Friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial celebrated by Reverend Dustin Boehm at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 28, 2018, in St. Gabriel Church.

Interment will follow in Laurel North Cemetery. Miller, Moster, Robbins Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements. Online condolences may be made anytime at millermosterrobbins.com.
