Troy Edmondson, 89, of Connersville, passed away Wednesday morning, October 24, 2018, at Majestic Healthcare of Connersville. One of twelve children of Jasper and Mattie Lou Campbell Edmondson, Troy was born in Groveoak, Alabama on April 25, 1929, and came to the Connersville area for residence as a young adult. Troy was employed at Ford/Visteon for 34 years, retiring in 1987.

A hard working man, he was always a good provider for his family. On July 14, 1968, he was married in Rushville to Mary Gabbard, a native of Harrison, Ohio. Mrs. Edmondson passed away April 21, 1998.

Troy attended Community Gospel Church. In his leisure, he enjoyed working around the house and along with his wife, he enjoyed camping. Survivors include his daughter, Vicki Newcomer of Connersville and a son, Mike Guthrie of Elkhart, Indiana; four grandchildren, Ember Newcomer, of Connersville, Craig Newcomer, of Fishers, Indiana, Latisha Guthrie, of Columbus, Ohio and Larry Alan Kocher, of Goshen, Indiana; a great-granddaughter, Chloe Newcomer, of Connersville.

He is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides his wife, Mary Edmondson, Troy was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Levora Bowen, Launa Brown, Inez Thompson, Susan Edmondson, Rhonvis Ingram, J.C. Edmondson, Damon Edmondson, Lila Turner, twin brother, Roy Edmondson, Fred Edmondson, and Tonnye Edmondson. Funeral services will be conducted at 3 PM, Saturday, October 27, 2018 at Miller, Moster, Robbins Funeral Home with Pastor Richard Ware officiating.

Burial will be in Dale Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 1 until 3 PM Saturday and anytime online at millermosterrobbins.com.
