He was born April 30, 1999, in Wood County, the son of Christopher Clevenger of Washington, WV and Shelley Cottle Deem of Parkersburg. Caleb was a graduate of Parkersburg South High School.

He was training to become a boxer and had participated in the Tough Man Contest. In addition to his parents, he was survived by son, Caleb I. Deem of Parkersburg; sister, Shyla Tant of Parkersburg; brother, Ethan Clevenger of Parkersburg; maternal grandmother, Debbie Cottle of Parkersburg; paternal grandmother, Brenda Guthrie of Parkersburg; paternal grandfather, Doug Clevenger of Washington, WV; grandparents, Mike and Marsha Deem of Washington, WV; a special friend, Matthew Deem of Washington, WV; and several aunt, uncles, cousins and friends. Caleb was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Gary Chaffin.
