Olga’s Obituary Olga Pashkevich, 90, of Parkersburg, died April 25, 2019 at Clermont Florida. She was born in Coalwood, West Virginia, on September 13, l928, the third child of six and the only daughter of the late John and Virginia Petro Takach. She was a graduate of Welch High School, National Business College of Roanoke, Virginia, and Glenville State College.

While living in Welch, she worked as secretary to the Superintendent of Schools in McDowell County in the late 40’s and early 50’s. After moving to Parkersburg, she taught at Franklin Jr. High School, Mountain State Business College, and Emerson Elementary School. She was a Wood County Teacher of the Year awardee.

Olga was an active member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, involved in a number of ministries. She is also remembered for her love of growing flowers and her mentorship to numerous students and co-workers. Survivors include two sons, Paul Alan Pashkevich and daughter-in-law Sabine of Bad Soden, Germany; and Michael David Pashkevich and daughter-in-law Louise of Clermont, Florida; three granddaughters, Marie, Katherine, and Nadia; two grandsons, Michael and Noah; two great-grandchildren, David and Elizabeth; one brother, Paul Takach and wife Delores of Lindale, TX; sister-in-law, Lenora Takach of Dalton, PA; sister-in-law, Nancy Takach of Baytown, TX; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Paul Pashkevich; by her parents; and four brothers, Arnold Takach of Westland, Michigan, John Takach of Silver Springs, Maryland, Alfred Takach of Dalton, Pennsylvania, and Elmer Takach of Baytown, TX. At 10:30 on Saturday, July 13, 2019, a service will be held at St. Paul Lutheran Church on Broad Street, followed by a lunch. Burial will be at the St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery at Dutch Ridge.

Lambert-Tatman of Vienna is assisting with arrangements. In lieu of flowers or gifts, Olga requested that memorial donations be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church, Cemetery Fund, 3500 Broad Street, Parkersburg, WV 26104.
