Obituary for Carolyn Gibson (Hacker) Obituary for Carolyn Gibson Carolyn Louise (Hacker) Gibson age 80, passed away Sunday, April 29, 2018 peacefully at the Braxton Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Sutton, WV. She was born March 20, 1938 to the late Ira Virgel Hacker and Florence Pearl (Beckett) Hacker. In addition to her parents, she was proceeded in death by her brothers and sisters, Bronson Dale Hacker, Velma Lorene (Hacker) Greenleaf, Minnie Kathlyn (Hacker) Alderman, Ira Gaylord (Chub) Hacker, and James Vance Hacker and grandson, David Michael Perrine.

She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Lanty Junior Gibson of Little Birch, WV; son’s Charles Allen Perrine and wife Rebecca of Birch River, WV; and Larry Eugene Perrine and wife Sandra of Flatwoods, WV; step-sons Lanty Nathan (Nick) Gibson and wife Deborah of Webster, FL; William James (Bill) Gibson and wife Connie of Marietta, OH; step-daughter, Sarah Luvern (Gibson) Dennison and husband Donald of Gassaway, WV; Grandsons Mathew Austin Perrine and wife Punkie of Flatwoods, WV; Joseph Patrick Perrine and wife Paige of Birch River, WV; Wesley Adam Perrine of Flatwoods and step-grandchildren Wendy Dawn Gibson, Heather Sue (Gibson) Hildebrand and husband Kenny, Toni Renee Gibson of Webster, FL; Gary Michael Gibson of Parkersburg, WV; Bryan Moffatt and wife Tonya of Marietta, OH; Joshua Darius Dennison and wife Erin of Albany, OH and Jessica Marie (Dennison) McColley and husband Jacob of Elkview, WV; two great grandchildren, thirteen step-great grandchildren and three step-great great grandchildren. She was a 1956 graduate of Gassaway High School, a cashier for Ben Franklin and Foodland stores of Sutton, WV and she was a homemaker. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and she dearly loved her cat Blackie.

Friends will be received Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at the Stockert-Paletti Funeral Home, 378 Flatwoods Corner Road, Flatwoods, WV 26621 from 5:00-8:00 pm and Funeral services will be held in the Stockert-Paletti Funeral Home Chapel Wednesday, May 2 at 11:00 am. with Pastor Homer Gibson officiating. Internment will follow in the Braxton County Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Braxton County Animal Shelter at 10 Animal Shelter Ln, Sutton, West Virginia 26601.
