Obituary for Ms. Carolyn R. White Carolyn R. White, 74, of Owensboro, passed away March 27, 2018, of Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was born on February 16, 1944 in Daviess County to the late James Brown and Eufala Baker Brown. Carolyn attended Walnut Memorial Church and volunteered at the hospital.

Her great-grandsons lit up her world, and she enjoyed reading and watching HGTV. She spent most of her time with her friends at Adams Village Community Center. Along with her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband, Carmel J. “Sonny” White, who passed away on August 31, 1998.

She was also preceded in death by her brothers James Brown, Jr., Jack Brown, Parker Brown, Larry Brown, her sisters Patty Reneer, Janice Devins, Juanita Alsup and Billie Hatfield. She is survived by her children Debbie (Lewis) Luttrell of Utica, KY, Rocky White of Owensboro, Jackie White Johnson of Owensboro, KY and Maria “ReRe” (Bryan) Pearson of Hawesville, KY, her grandchildren Kristy, Tiffany, David, Bryan, Sonni, Bryce, great-grandchildren Isaiah, Aiden, Landon, Caiden, Gavin, Carson, and Kyleigh. Also surviving are her siblings Viola Coomes, Cecil Brown, Brenda K. Sandefur, and sister and best friend Rayda Sampson.

Services will be at Noon on Saturday, March 31, 2018 at Haley McGinnis Funeral Home & Crematory. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Friday, and from 10:00 a.m. to Noon on Saturday. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Wendell Foster Autism Program; 815 Triplett Street; Owensboro, KY 42303.
