Obituary for Catherine A “Kay” Ferraton Private family services were held for Catherine A. “Kay” Ferraton, 82, of Mentor-on-the-Lake. Mrs. Ferraton passed away Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2018, at Hospice House of the Western Reserve in Cleveland.

Born Nov. 21, 1936, in Cleveland, she had been a resident of Lake County for 59 years. Kay was a member of St. John Vianney Church in Mentor.

She loved all animals, especially dogs and cats, and enjoyed cooking, gardening and sewing. Kay was the loving mother of Stephanie D. (Michael) Forsythe, Stephen G. (Cathy) Drapp Jr., and Kathy L. (Robert) Trynovich; cherished grandmother of Sondra (Michael), Lisa, Stephen III (Melissa), Shawn, Jennifer, Sarah, Robert Jr. (Christina), Kristina (Michael), Danielle (Ryan), and Lindsay; great-grandmother of 13; sister of Charles Welder and Theresa Manning; and aunt of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Bertha (nee Wasniak) Welder; and siblings, Robert, Rita and Coletta.
