Catherine’s Obituary Catherine Chabot Beloved Wife and Mother Fitchburg-Catherine (Filipek) Chabot, 96, died peacefully Sunday afternoon, January 6, 2019 in Fitchburg Healthcare after a period of declining health. Catherine was born in Tarrytown, NY, November 11, 1922, a daughter of the late George and Katherine (Damis) Filipek. Catherine is survived by her husband of 75 years, Andrew B. Chabot Sr.; one son, Andrew B. Chabot Jr. of Parker, Co; one sister, Pauline Flemming of Norfolk, VA; and several nieces and nephews.

Catherine was predeceased by two brothers, Louis and Stephen Filipek and two sisters, Mary Filipek and Elizabeth Mackie. Catherine is a graduate of Ervington HS in New York. She worked at Chance Vough Aircraft in Strafford, CT and as a seamstress at Ames for many years.

She was a long-time member of St. Bernard’s Church of Fitchburg and more recently St. Anthony de Padua Church of Fitchburg. Catherine loved doing arts and crafts and was an avid fan of the Boston Sports Teams. Her funeral will be held on Thursday, January 10, 2019 at 11am in St. Anthony de Padua Church, 84 Salem St. Fitchburg.

Burial will follow in St. Bernard Cemetery, Fitchburg. Friends are invited to visit with the family at 10:30am in the Church prior to the mass. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Massachusetts/ New Hampshire Chapter, 309 Waverly Oaks Rd.
