Obituary for Catherine D. Richards Catherine D. Richards passed away late Monday evening in St. James Healthcare. She was born in Butte one of fourteen children to Grga and Anna (Verbantz) Kovacich. She attended Holy Savior School as well as Girl’s Central.

Catherine married William Richards in Butte and He passed away June 2, 1974. She worked as a janitress for the Montana Power Company and then went to work for the school district, retiring from the Whittier School. She kept a meticulous yard and an immaculate home.

She was a lifelong and passionate member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church. Besides her parents and husband, Catherine is preceded in death by all her siblings, Mary, Pauline, Ann, Frances, Josephine, Frank, Rose, John, Helen, Tony, Jean, George and Pete and her great-granddaughter, Madison Marie Wall. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, William “Bill” and Andrea Richards of Butte, daughters and sons-in-law: Brenda Wall of Butte, Linda and Bill Larsen of Bozeman, Shirley and Larry Landon of Manteca, CA as well as ten grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
