Cathy L. Kershner age 64, of Ashland, passed away Monday, November 26, 2018 at University Hospitals Samaritan Medical Center. She was born in Ashland on September 15, 1954, the daughter of Wallace and Alice (Eikelberry) Dalton. Cathy had been a lifelong resident of Ashland County and was a 1973 graduate of Crestview High School.

She had been employed with University Hospitals Samaritan Medical Center in Environmental Services for 33 years before retiring in 2012. She enjoyed attending all of her grandchildren’s sporting events; always being their biggest fan. She was an amazing baker and famous for her macaroni salad.

Cathy enjoyed crochet, drawing, crafts, Pinterest, YouTube, and DIY that all helped her with new ideas. She was a very loving person that would help anyone she could with her final gift to others being organ donor. Survivors include her children, Amie Walker of Savannah, Matthew (Christina) Harry of Ashland, and Betsy (Wayne) Clemmons of Wooster; her grandchildren, Logan Greer, Bryana Gillispie, Jacob Greer, and Amber Harry; a step granddaughter, Sarah Walker; her sisters, Deborah Spoerr of Ashland and Connie (Tom) Tackett of Shiloh; along with numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Cathy was preceded in death by her parents and son in-law, James Walker. Funeral services will be held at Heyl Funeral Home on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at 1:00 P.M. with Rev. Johnnie F. Swann officiating.

Burial will follow at Savannah Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 11:00 A.M. until service time Saturday.
