Master Sergeant Cecil Brewster, Sr. age 76 of Gaylesville, AL, passed away on Wednesday, January 9, 2018. He was born on September 30, 1942 to the late John & Gertrude Tompson Brewster in Rome, Georgia. He was a retiree of the United States Army, a member of Victory Baptist Church, VFW, a mason, and a Shriner.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, January 19, 2019 at Victory Baptist Church with burial following in the Dixon Chapel Cemetery with military honors. The family will receive friends from 12 noon until the 2 p.m. hour of service at the church. The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the Parkinson Research Foundation.

Master Sgt. Brewster is survived by his son, Christopher Conrad Brewster; daughters, Cindy Brewster and husband, Joshua Derek Trammell, and Sammie Brewster; brothers, Bobby, Delmus and Roger; sisters, Irene Brewster and Martha Morris; grandchildren, Katy Beth Hall Givens, Micky Shane Hall and Brittany Brewster Parker; great-grandchildren, Isaac Parker and Canaan Parker; and several nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Vivian Brewster; son, Clyde Cecil Brewster, Jr.; and parents, John & Gertrude Tompson Brewster.
