Nancye Hunter, 92, of Mentone, Alabama, passed away Friday, January 18, 2019 at Shepherd’s Cove in Albertville, Alabama. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Wilson Funeral Home with Dr. Pat McFadden officiating. The family will receive friends Monday from 12 noon until the 2 p.m. hour of service.

Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery. She is survived by her sons, David Hunter and wife, Judy of Marietta, Georgia and James “Ed” Hunter and wife, Sabrina of Fort Payne, Alabama; grandchildren, Carrie Hunter Christian and husband, Kells of Carlsbad, California, David Hunter II of Woodstock, Georgia, Chris Hunter of Canton, Georgia, and Candace Hunter Marten and husband, Ryan of Atlanta, Georgia; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Vernon Hunter, parents, Gideion and Susan Hawk, siblings, Gideion Jr., Eugene, William, and Mary Helen.
